What do you do?

At work, it's the employer's job to make sure you have a safe workplace. That means they must do everything they can to prevent and stop bullying. It also means that telling the employer about the bullying (whether its happening to you or others) is the first step. That can be tricky and its never easy - but it needs to be done. For example.

In the cafe, Christine yells at George whenever he spills something in the kitchen. It makes George nervous and he spills more things. The tricky part is that it almost never happens when the boss can hear, so she doesn't know its happening. George spoke to Christine about it and she said it was all part of days work in a busy kitchen - spill things, get yelled at. George is now taking days off and coming in late - and looks like getting the sack. Talking to the boss would be easy if Christine wasn't so nice to everybody else ....

it's hard because if George tells the boss they might not beleive him, so maybe he should record it on his phone when christine yells at him so he has proof and will feel more confident to speak up.
